Brussels Hosts Int’l Conference on Egypt’s Human Rights Violations

The European Union capital, Brussels, Will host on Thursday, March 20th, the international conference around human rights violations in Egypt . The conference is organized by the Paris based Arab Commission for Human Rights and the London based Justice International.
 
This international meeting will include many Egyptian and international human rights figures topped by Violit Daghure, chairperson of the Arab Commission for Human Rights, Gamila Ismail, wife of the political leader and former presidential candidate, Ayman Nour, Abdul Halim Kandeel, a journalist and member of the Egyptian Movement For Change (kifaya), Saad Al Katatni, Egyptian MP and chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary bloc, Abdul Raouf Wazzani, chairman of the European Society for Freedom and Dignity, lawyer Sobhi Saleh, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary bloc in Egyptian parliament, Amr Al Shobaki, an Egyptian expert at Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, in addition to a huge number of human rights activists, organizations, MEPs and foreign and Arab politicians.
 
The conference is expected to be the biggest gathering around the human rights situation in Egypt. It will discuss the human rights situation under laws and covenants and the future of human rights in Egypt specially under the current political system and general elections in Egypt including preventing citizens from running for elections or freely cast their votes. In addition to the regime”s hegemony over the media, judiciary, universities and syndicates. The conference will also cover the military trials of Muslim Brotherhood leaders in Egypt and other human rights violations.
 
The conference”s agenda will begin with a session on the current human rights situation in Egypt .
 
It will be followed by a vigil protest in front of the European parliament and another session about the human rights future in Egypt .
