Cairo: Criminal Court stands by its release order for Muslim Brotherhood detainees

The Criminal Court in Cairo decided on ruling in favor once again for the release of Mohamed Sweidan and nine other members of the Muslim Brotherhood who were arrested on September 26, 2009. The group had previously received a release order late November and it is expected the Interior Ministry respect the order.
The released detainees include:
Eng. Hosny Omar
Dr Hamdy Ebeid
Sobhy Altahan
Eng. Mustafa Alkhouly
Eng. Mohamed Abul Saad
Eng. Adel Younis
Hamed Badawy
Mohamed Alsharaky
Dr Adly Hussein
Dr Gamal Heshmat and Eng. Essam Algharabawy were both released earlier because of their ill health.
In a related issue Mohamed Abdul Rashid arrested in the renowned case of “Faris Barakat” in the media was transferred to the State Security Headquarters in Damanhour as a prelude to being released.
