Crackdown on MB Businesses Continues

The Egyptian forces raided another Muslim Brotherhood company- Istikbal for furniture- that belongs to MB second deputy chairman Khayrat Al-Shater.


In another episode of the Egyptian crackdown targeting a number of companies belonging to Muslim Brotherhood businessmen, the security forces have raided, on Sunday, and sealed off Istikbal store for furniture in City Star- a huge mall in Cairo- which belongs to detained engineer Mohamed Khayrat Al Shater, the second deputy chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood.


These raids come after raiding and shutting down- on Sunday also – several companies and publishing houses belonging to MB leaders.


For his part, Dr. Abdel Moneim Abul Fotouh, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Executive Bureau member, said that these raids aim at passing the government’s constitutional amendments, hindering the MB movement and targeting businesses owned by MB members.


It is worth mentioning is that the Egyptian security forces has been launching a crackdown against leaders and cadres of the Muslim Brotherhood group for about two weeks; this crackdown led to arresting more than 200 persons until now.
