Darrag to Hungarian Ambassador: Egypt on Path of Democratic Transformation

Peter Kveck, Hungarian Ambassador in Cairo, extended an invitation to the Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), to visit Hungary in October, to bolster relations between the two countries.
The ambassador pointed that Hungary has a positive experience in economic and democratic transformation. He also invited FJP delegation to attend the celebration of the National Day of Hungary, to be held on October 22 in Cairo.
The ambassador’s invitation came during a meeting with Dr. Amr Darrag, General-Secretary of the Freedom and Justice Party in Giza, Monday, where they discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and increase economic cooperation.
During the meeting, Darrag affirmed that Egypt is marching steadily on the path of democratic transformation, and added: "Free and fair elections are merely one step on the road to building a complete new and modern democracy in Egypt".
Darrag stressed the importance of deepening the relations between Egypt and Hungary, especially at the economic level, in the coming period, by increasing the volume of investments and trade between the two sides.
