Defiances, ignored release orders and extended detentions continue while appeals increase in number.

Defense lawyers for the Muslim Brotherhood movement have filed appeals challenging the extended detention of a number of detainees despite release orders. The appeals for 43 innocent MB who remain detained are expected to be scheduled   in the near future.

Detainees are from different governorates in Egypt where arrests began earlier this year prior to the holy month of Ramadan. Although the charges against the detainees vary in content they are similar in that they are preposterous.

Pitiful accusations include rallying in support of the holy Al-Aqsa mosque, peaceful demonstrations, welcoming students in colleges and finally collecting and distributing meat to the poor.

Related; in another bout of defiance by the Ministry of Interior Eng. Yaser Roshdy a leader of the MB has been re-arrested despite release orders. Roshdy was among a group of 20 other members who were arrested for the demonstrations held in support of Al-Aqsa mosque. Orders were issued for his release on December 6 but to no avail; he was later transferred to Damanhour Prison.
