Detention Extended for Six Prominent MB Members

On Saturday, June 17, 2006, the State Security Prosecutor decided to extend detention for six prominent Muslim Brotherhood members including Dr. Hassan el Prince, professor at Alexandria Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Helmy el Gazzar, Adel Yehia, the treasurer of the Alexandria Dentists’ Syndicate, in addition to four others. Mr. Adel Yehia was detained along with eight Muslim Brotherhood from Giza and Alexandria while they were having lunch at Yahia’ home. The Prosecution charged them with financing a campaign to expose the corruption of the Egyptian regime, jailing them for another 15 days.
