Dichter Puts Haneyya, Nasrallah On Assassination List
Israeli internal security minister Avi Dichter has affirmed that PA premier Ismail Haneyya and Hizbullah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah are assassination targets.
“Anyone leading terrorism against Israel knows very well that he will be a target for the Israeli assassination squad. Haneyya and Nasrallah and others put themselves on the list; yet, we will be the ones to decide the time for that”, on Friday said Dichter, who once led the Israeli domestic intelligence apparatus (Shabak) for a number of years.
Meanwhile, IOF troops pulled out of southern and central Gaza Strip after occupying parts of them for a couple of days, leaving behind huge destruction in the Palestinian infrastructure, including electricity, water networks, and vast areas of planted lands and greenhouses.
The move was apparently prompted by the tense military situation in the northern front due to the incessant shelling by Hizbullah fighters of Israeli settlements and vital installations there.
Keeping the pressure, the Qassam Brigades, armed wing of Hamas, announced that their fighters have unleashed six Qassam missiles towards Sderot settlement, just outside Gaza Strip.
In a military communiqué they issued Friday and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, the Brigades affirmed that it launched the six locally-made missiles on two batches into the said settlement where house of Israeli war minister Amir Peretz is located.
Another Qassam missile, according to the communiqué, was launched at the IOF intelligence office at the Erez crossing point at the northern tip of the Strip.
The Brigades affirmed that the rocket attack falls in line with the Palestinian people’s right of self-defense, and in retaliation to the IOF aggressions in the densely populated Strip.
In the same context, the National Resistance Brigades of the DFLP, and the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades of the PFLP jointly claimed responsibility for rocking the Kissufim military crossing point with two mortar projectiles, vowing to remain faithful to blood of the Palestinian martyrs and to the national constants and aspirations of the Palestinian people who are fighting for independence.
