Disrespect and violations to people’s lives, sacred mosques and fundings.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s parliamentary member Ali Laban called for the urgent removal of the Cairo governor Abdul Azim Wazir claiming that he didn’t respect the oath in which he had sworn in regards to is responsibilities.
Laban asserted that the governor had violated the sacredness of the mosques namely the Emad al din mosque in Ataba which had previously covered nearly 1000 square metres and was replaced with a one floored mosque occupying only 200 square metres under the pretext of building a tunnel. He continued "Not only was the mosques sacredness violated but many civilians’ lives were endangered with the collapse of the subway’s tunnel and buildings surrounding it, in addition to the waste of public fundings".
The MP demanded that an urgent committee be set up to question his incompetence and irresponsibility urging the committee to find solutions to the dire and urgent local issues.
