Egypt’s authorities ban political opposition from media appearances

The Egyptian Communications Ministry has warned owners of private satellite television channels of allowing Egyptian citizens belonging to political opposition factions from appearing as guests on their channels. The warning illustrates the Egyptian regime’s intentions of monopolizing the country and continuing in its dictatorship despite its allegations that Egypt enjoys widespread democracy.
The list banning political opposition includes Muslim Brotherhood chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie, former IAEA chief Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei, and Al-Ghad party leader Ayman Nour
