Egypt: 9 Muslim Brotherhood Members Arrested

Egypt: 9 Muslim Brotherhood Members Arrested

In its unjustified campaign against the Muslim Brotherhood, the Egyptian security forces stormed a house in Cairo and arrested 9 MB leaderships including prominent businessman Dr. Dia Farahat.

In an exclusive statement to Ikhwanweb, MB Executive Council Member DR. Abd Almone’em Abul-fotouh said that these detentions are flagrant violation of the Egyptian constitution which provides the freedom of assembly for all citizens as long as these meetings are within the limits of the law, blaming all these detentions on the 25-year emergency law. Abu Alfotouh pointed out that the unstopping detentions are aimed to harass the group and cut it down to size especially after its widely felt omnipresence in society. He added that the government policy now is eliminating the MB members wherever they are, wondering satirically whether the regime wants the MB members to leave Egypt and live on the Mars.
