Egypt Pro-Democracy Coalition Calls ‘Unite for Victory’ Revolutionary Week

Egypt Pro-Democracy Coalition Calls ‘Unite for Victory’ Revolutionary Week
Day after day, we get closer to the month of Revolution: January. It reminds us of the days of freedom, dignity and unity. Day after day, we gear up for a fitting anniversary: a roaring revolutionary wave to sweep away the illegitimate coup’s last forts.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance deeply appreciates all ongoing efforts, actions and preparations for the forthcoming revolutionary wave. We urge all patriots and revolutionaries for unity, solidarity and reconciliation, shunning conflict and discord.

The Alliance is endeavoring to reconcile differences within the Muslim Brotherhood, confident that the group can certainly overcome this crisis quickly. Liberty squares across the homeland await the revolutionaries, and patriots, while the martyrs await fair and prompt retribution, and innocent detainees await freedom. There is no time for differences and division.

To every father, every mother and every wife…

Remember how in days like these your loved ones made dear sacrifices so you could live free with dignity in your homeland. Some passed away – blessed martyrs, and some stand steadfast with the Revolution, on the same path.

To all Egyptians… All those who walked or even stayed overnight in the squares of Revolution…

Remember these liberty squares; do not be fooled by counter-revolution lies that seek to tarnish their memory, their history. These are the best parts in Egypt, January days are the best days. You personally sensed how those days filled our world with freedom, dignity and justice, while the opposite is happening now because of this usurper coup that turned your life into an unbearable hell, with innocent blood spilled every day, which show that the putschists have lied persistently promising they would protect you from the fate of Syria and Iraq.

What is happening in Sinai is worse than Syria and Iraq. The blood being spilled by coup forces in the streets, police stations and prisons will not give them security nor stability; it will be a curse on their heads in this world and in the hereafter.

Two weeks ago, the Alliance launched the "Revolution until Victory" wave of anti-coup protests. We now invite you to participate in a new revolutionary week as part of that wave entitled "Unite for Victory". Unity is the path to victory. Conflict is the path of defeat and failure.

Finally, the Alliance solemnly salutes and congratulates the Tunisian people on the anniversary of their great revolution that sparked the rest of the Arab Spring revolutions and opened the doors of freedom – the revolution which is still steadfast in the face of many heinous plots that aim to undermine and end it.

Victory for the Revolution
