Egypt Pro-Democracy Leaders, Public Figures Statement on Sanctity of National Airspace
First: The signatories to this statement condemn the Zionist entity’s drones (unmanned aircraft) encroaching Egyptian airspace after the tragic incident in which a Russian passenger plane crashed. Egyptian sovereignty cannot tolerate any more violations like this. During this year alone, there has already been a large number of incidents where that entity’s drones crossed into Egyptian airspace, in coordination with the fascist regime, which has failed miserably in protecting our national security.
Second: We condemn the treasonous diplomatic support provided by the coup regime in the name of the Egyptian State in the United Nations for the selection of the Zionist entity for membership of the UN’s Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS). This is an unprecedented fall, the like of which has never been witnessed in any other Arab or Muslim country.
This reaffirms the insistence of the repressive regime to coordinate with the Zionist entity which seeks nothing but to weaken Egypt and drive it away from its Arab and Islamic roots.
Third: We call on the Russian people to put immediate and real pressure on their leadership to desist from interfering in Arab affairs and to withdraw Russian troops and military planes from Syrian territories and airspace and pay for the massacres committed against the Syrian people.
Fourth: We call on Egyptian state institutions to be alert and to exercise caution and vigilance and be wary of treacherous schemes that threaten Egyptian national security, in which the fascist regime is evidently implicated, continuously coordinating with the Zionist entity and injudiciously cooperating with the Russian intervention in Syrian affairs.
Long live Egypt and its people – free, dignified
