Egyptian authorities slam Israel ‘s reports on President’s health

 An Israeli Radio broadcast announced that Egypt accused Tel Aviv of broadcasting false information regarding the health of President Mohamed Mubarak. Omar Suleiman, Head of Intelligence informed the Israelis of the authorities  anger alleging that such hearsay could have a negative impact on Egypt’s stability.

   
Tel Aviv however refused to be held responsible over reports maintaining that it was a democratic state and had no control over its media unlike Egypt and other Arab countries which feared publishing any news concerning authorities.  Israeli authorities alleged that although they were investigating Egypt ‘s internal affairs they did not order the publishing of the news.
 
Israeli MP Shay from the Cadim party called on the Israeli Journalists’ Syndicate to cease publishing such news asserting that it negatively affected relations between Egypt and Israel , his request however was rejected.
