Egyptian Regime to Continue Oppressive Policies, Blocks Facebook
Although Facebook has returned a few hours ago Mubarak’s regime blocked the
popular social networking website, Facebook. This came a few hours after it blocked Twitter, in order to withhold information on brutality practiced by Egyptian authorities against tens of thousands of protesters storming the streets in several provinces, calling to bring down Mubarak’s regime.
Egyptian police beat protesters and used live bullets to clear thousands of people from a central Cairo square, killing 4 in Suez. Meanwhile, the Muslim Brotherhood in anticipation has launched its own Facebook-style social networking site (www.ikhwanbook.com), Facebook’s alternative for Muslim Brotherhood in the event, the government of Egypt closed or blocked Facebook.
