Egyptian Revolutionary Council Resolution Considers Coup Regime Agreements Null and Void
The Egyptian Revolutionary Council (ERC) issued the following resolution:

This is a disclaimer of Egypt’s legal responsibilities and obligations with regard to any agreements or treaties or contracts signed with the current illegitimate military coup regime:
Preamble:
The military junta that executed the illegitimate coup d’état in Egypt on the third of July 2013 and the resulting regime derive their power from measures that are unconstitutional and illegitimate. Hence, as expressed in several earlier statements, ERC reaffirms that the only legitimate President of the Arab Republic of Egypt is Mohamed Morsi Ayyat.
The Egyptian people elected Dr. Morsi President in democratic, transparent, free and direct presidential elections on the twenty-fourth of June 2012. Dr. Morsi remains the legitimate President of Egypt, entitled to a full term in office, despite the fact that he is prevented from performing his constitutional duties since the July 3, 2013 military coup led by Al-Sisi, the defense minister at the time, who quickly suspended the Constitution endorsed by the people on December 15th 2012.
Al-Sisi then appointed a judge as interim president of the country, and suspended the Upper House of the Egyptian bicameral Parliament (called the Shura Council). On June 8, 2014 the same Defense Minister illegitimately proclaimed himself president.
The will of the Egyptian people was expressed in several statements by the Anti-Coup Pro-Democracy National Alliance and other revolutionary groups and parties.
It has been proved beyond doubt that the illegitimate ruling regime in Egypt is squandering what is left of the wealth of Egypt and the people’s savings, and is borrowing heavily to satisfy the junta regime’s greed and corruption. Therefore, ERC issued this Resolution No. 1 for the year 2014.
The Resolution:
Egypt’s legitimate state institutions will not honor any agreements or treaties or decisions or contracts issued by the illegitimate regime currently ruling Egypt. All official approvals or deals with this unlawful coup regime in Egypt are null and void and will not entail any rights or obligations. Based on this disclaimer, no party or state, organization or company or individual will be entitled to make any demands of the legitimate regime when it resumes its functions and responsibilities.
Administrative staff in state institutions are bound by this resolution. This disclaimer is in force from July 3rd, 2013 – the date the military junta prevented the legitimate regime from carrying out its constitutional functions.
