El-Erian: FJP Determined to Back Dr. Morsi to Achieve Revolution Goals

The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) in Giza, Wednesday, launched the elections support campaign for Dr. Mohamed Morsi, the candidate of the Muslim Brotherhood and the FJP in Egypt’s forthcoming presidential race.

During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Essam el-Erian, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee at the People’s Assembly and FJP Vice Chairman, said that the nomination of Dr. Mohamed Morsi for the presidency realized an 85-year dream for which many sacrifices were made.

Dr. El-Erian further warned of foreign conspiracies aimed at preventing the completion of the Renaissance Project, stressing that they are determined to support Dr. Mohamed Morsi, so as to achieve the goals of the revolution, for which hundreds of people sacrificed their lives.

Reiterating that the Brotherhood and the FJP will not enter into negotiations over the presidential elections, Dr. El-Erian said that they will continue to contest the elections without any special arrangements or coordination with rival candidates, adding that it will be up to the people to choose their representative in the country’s top post.
