Engineers file complaints to the Prosecutor General demanding explanations.

The “Engineers against sequestering” committee decided to file appeals to the Prosecutor General in Cairo requesting the investigation of the squandering of the syndicates funds, after the court rule to lift the impounding of the Syndicate and its funds. Engineers decided to push and fight for their own rights after they had experienced drawbacks of not having their own syndicate.

Khaled Ali Omar, the executive director of the Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights, explained that the government had imposed this judiciary guardianship on the syndicate “due to the omnipresence of the Muslim Brotherhood within the executive positions of the syndicate.

It is expected that the Engineers will assemble January 14, in front of the Egyptian Irrigation Minister’s office demanding the government to respect the court order and grant engineers the right to hold syndicate elections.

The assembly’s organizer asserted to “Ikhwanweb” that the appeals included the demands of the Engineers for the Minister to implement the court order as stipulated in article 66 of 1974 article 66.
