Erian: Qandil Government Formed in Difficult Circumstances; Needs Reshuffle

Dr. Essam El-Erian, Vice-Chairman of Freedom and Justice Party and member of the Shura Council (upper house of Egyptian parliament), said that Egyptian PM Qandil’s government was formed in difficult circumstances, while Egypt was under the rule of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF). He further called for an urgent cabinet reshuffle.

In a televised interview, Erian also said: "Wassat Party is taking a hard line against the current government, proposing a complete change of cabinet. This can only be done after the forthcoming House of Representatives election, so the new cabinet can get the confidence of Parliament, in accordance with the Constitution".
