Erian: Freedom and Justice Party Not Involved in Decision-Making within Presidency

Dr. Essam El-Erian, Vice-Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), denied rumors  that the FJP controls decision-making within the institution of the Presidency.

In televised remarks, Erian said that President Morsi meets with other political players and stakeholders more than he meets with members of the FJP.

On the general situation in Egypt, Erian said: "There is a whole ‘deep’ system in Egypt now that fears legal questioning and accountability.

"What happened to the deposed Mubarak and the end he met is an abject lesson for all corrupt officials. He was a dictator who never listened to advice."
