Escalating arrests of Alexandria’s MB

A rising tide of arbitrary arrests by the Interior Ministry’s security apparatus has, affected members of the Muslim Brotherhood opposition members in Alexandria. The sea port city witnessed 10 more house raids at dawn raising the number of arrests in the city in two days to 80.

The MB has become the regime’s main target triggered after the group’s chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie confirmed they would participate in the parliamentary elections.

The group is expected to contest 30% of the seats despite calls by other opposition to boycott the elections on the grounds that the regime is unable to conduct free and fair elections.
