Escalating crisis of Egyptians ousted from Kuwait
The upcoming parliamentary sessions is expected to include fierce confrontations with the government and the MPs regarding the arresting and expulsion of Egyptian expatriates supporting Mohamed ElBaradei as a presidential candidate.
MB MP Dr. Gamal Zahran denounced Kuwait ’s decision of arrest and expulsion, adding that the decision is a terrible insult to Egypt and the Egyptians. He described the Egyptian stance from this incident as “vague” which will result in serious implications on the Egyptian community in Kuwait and in the Gulf area as a whole.
He stressed on the importance of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Abul Gheit attendance to the session to explain the incident especially as some newspapers and media outlets alleged collaboration of the Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this decision adding there was hearsay of coordination between Egypt and Kuwait before announcing this decision.
