European ships arrive in Rhodes port
BRUSSELS, The European cargo ship, one of the Freedom Flotilla group of ships, is expected to arrive at the Greek port of Rhodes on Wednesday night and before it three passenger boats. Dr. Arafat Madi, the head of the European campaign to end the siege on Gaza, said in a press release that the Greek-Swedish cargo ship carries 2.5 million dollars worth of humanitarian aid financed by his campaign including prefabricated houses, medicines, construction material, and small desalination units. He said that preparations were underway for the group travel of all nine vessels of the Flotilla from a point off the Cypriot coasts to Gaza Strip. He said that the fleet is expected to arrive in Gaza next week, adding that wide media coverage would accompany the Flotilla’s arrival.
