Please join the Project on Middle East Democracy and the SAIS International Development Program for a discussion about the inclusion of moderate Islamist political parties and whether they strengthen or threaten democratic institutions in the Middle East and North Africa.

The discussion will feature:

Geneive Abdo, Century Foundation Fellow; Author of No God but God: Egypt and the Triumph of Islam and Answering Only to God: Faith and Freedom in 21st Century Iran.

Anthony Chang, Deputy Director for the Europe Division of the International Republican Institute (IRI), oversees IRI”s Turkey program from Washington.

Matthew Frumin, Senior Advisor, National Democratic Institute (NDI); Member of recent international mission to assess and monitor this month”s elections in Morocco.
