Executive Bureau: Political participation will continue in full swing under the new Chairman.

Dr Mohamed Saad Katatni, head of the MB parliamentary bloc and member of the Muslim Brotherhood Executive Bureau asserted that the group may take to the streets in demonstrations in the upcoming period if the need arises. He stressed that elections are not the sole criterion of political participation highlighting that the  Movement under Badie’s leadership will continue to be  as politically active as before.

Dr. Essam el-Erian also from the Executive Bureau added that the Brotherhood may very well participate in the Shura Council Elections however the details have not as yet been disclosed.

He denied any agreement between the regime and the group with regards to the elections claiming that the interest of the country was the one and foremost interest of the Movement.

Dr. Mohamed Morsy attested to his colleagues commenting that the final decision will be voted on by the Movements’ members from all over the country emphasizing that political participation will continue in full swing just as it had under the leadership of the former Chairman Mohamed Mahdi Akef.
