Female Student Subpoenaed to State Security, 6 Mansoura University Students Interrogated

Mansoura state security prosecution summoned Iman Mahmoud, a student at Mansoura University, over her activities in the mosque of the Faculty of Commerce and distributing leaflets and cards welcoming students on the occasion of beginning the semester.
 
The student denied such claims saying she received the first subpoena three days before the beginning of the semester and received the second two days after classes started.
 
It is worth mentioning that the guard chief at the Faculty of Commerce confiscated a number of Ramadan calendars cards marking the new semester from a students and he seized her faculty ID card threatening if this happened again she will face “a tough punishment”.
 
Meanwhile, the university administration transferred 6 students from several faculties to a disciplinary board on charge of welcoming fresh students and hanging signs having the name ” the Muslim Brotherhood”. The students referred to the disciplinary board are:
Mohamed Mohsen, the Faculty of Commerce,
Gamal Mohamed, the Faculty of Commerce,
Bassem Mohamed, the Faculty of Education,
Yahya Ahmed, the Faculty of Education,
Mohamed Abdul Hamid, the Faculty of Education,
Walid Fawzi, Faculty of veterinary medicine,
Abdul Rahman Al Khouli, Faculty of veterinary medicine.
 
Also, the guard of the Faculty of Medicine seized pharmacy class memos from a students on the second day after classes started. The memos haven”t been released so far although the Faculty of Pharmacy principal promised students that he will release them last Saturday, a promise that made them end a sit-in that they started on Thursday .
