FJP’s Soudan: Muslim Brotherhood Denounces Violence; Al-Sisi Statements Meant for Foreign Consumption
Mohamed Soudan, Foreign Relations Secretary of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP, the Muslim Brotherhood’s political arm), said that the murderous coup leader Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi’s statements, supposedly welcoming Muslim Brotherhood supporters back in the political arena, are only for foreign consumption as he visits the US.
In a press release, Soudan said: "Al-Sisi’s talk about political participation is only for foreign consumption, especially as he travels to the United States – to deceive world leaders.
"Al-Sisi’s junta-appointed regime is intent on dissolving all political parties, arresting and detaining all party leaders and activists, in fact all opponents, and bringing them to mock trials.
"The Muslim Brotherhood is committed to peaceful opposition action. It rejects all forms of violence."
Earlier, the treasonous coup leader told the Associated Press: "Egypt is tolerant and forgiving. Brotherhood supporters can participate, once again, in political life, if they decide to renounce violence".
