FJP: Ballot Transparency Essential For Success of Egypt’s Democratic Reform

According to a recent statement by Dr. Essam El Erian, coordination and consensus between parties is the key to Egypt’s development in the upcoming phase. The vice president for the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) asserted that all energies must be focused on Egypt’s interests rather than those of individuals or parties.

Speaking at a meeting in the governorate of Daqahleya, El Erian cited that in addition to participating and voting at the polls, it was significant that all parties unite and enhance the effectiveness of the already energized and motivated organizations, grassroots activists, concerned citizens and legislators across the nation. This, he said, is necessary to guarantee that none of the measures used during the former regime’s rule be repeated.

It was imperative, he added, that such effort be directed by all forces to ensure democracy in Egypt is both achieved and protected.
