FJP: June 30 Calls for Armed Violence, not Political Protest as Opposition Make Belief

In a press statement, Hussein Ibrahim, Secretary General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), said: "Certain power-seeking parties spend billions on hired thugs in order to push this homeland into anarchy, chaos and lawlessness, with flimsy political cover. Certainly, they will lose this bet and ultimately regret their scheming endeavors.

"There are calls for action, apparently for political demands, but in fact for bloodshed, violence and vandalism."

The FJP’s Secretary General added that, "Those so-called politicians demanded to prolong the transitional period, demanded a ‘presidential council’, called for postponement of the elections, declared boycott of elections, then returned to participate in elections, stood against the Constitution, and demanded early presidential elections.

In all the above demands, the will of the people was always the judge that we accepted. So those politicians are now trying to assassinate that will; but the people’s awareness prevents that.

"Our patience is not for weakness, but for the interests of the homeland – for stability of the homeland and the future of all citizens."
