FJP: Palestinian Reconciliation Is Pivotal

In a press release Wednesday about the Palestinian issue, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) said that national consensus in Palestine is needed for the best interest of the people, and that it encourages all efforts that would lead to the reconciliation.

The statement added that the party believes that what has been achieved represents a significant step, and emphasizes the significance of completing the course of reconciliation, stressing that all the parties should reject any foreign interference that would obstruct the reconciliation process.

The party also views the national reconciliation as a prerequisite to achieve the demands of the Palestinian people, which has become more feasible particularly after the Arab Spring, the statement said, adding that time and effort should not be wasted on internal difference, as the Palestinians should complete the march to the Palestinian national liberation.

Further, the party emphasizes the need to complete the stage of rebuilding the Palestine Liberation Organization until it genuinely becomes the representative of all the Palestinian people. The party also emphasizes the need to achieve qualitative progress in the security file, which has been agreed upon in Cairo, close the file of prisoners, and also to stop all forms of security cooperation with the Israeli occupation.
