FJP Candidate Manal Aboulhassan: Massive Women Turnout at Elections is Inspiring
In the first democratic elections that Egypt witnesses in decades, there has been a huge female turnout in Cairo and other governerates, in the first phase of the legislative elections in Egypt.
Dr. Manal Aboulhassan, FJP candidate in Cairo, sees the participation of these determined masses of women as an indication that the only obstacle that stopped the distinctive role of women during the previous 60 years was the presence of the previous regime.
She also said in a statement to ikhwanweb, " I am very inspired by the Egyptian woman, especially her patience, after seeing a row that went as long as two streets"
She also stated that until now, the electoral process is going smoothly which ensures the restoration of a civil state based on democracy. She also hoped that the results of the elections would come out well representing the huge turnout.
