FJP Criticizes UN Report Justifying Israel’s Attack on Aid Ships, Calls for Investigation by ICJ

Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Vice-President, Dr. Essam El Erian criticised the UN report investigating the Israeli navy’s attack against aid ships in international waters, which killed nine Turkish nationals, including a Turkish-American teenager, and more than 40 others were injured onboard the vessel Mavi Marmara earlier this Summer.
El-Erian slammed the report, which claimed Israel has the right to protect its birders and disregarded the tragedy of 1.5 million Gazan civilians including men, women and children living under the Israeli blockade.
El Erian also supported Turkey’s call demanding Israel to make a formal apology for the action, pay appropriate compensations to the families of the victims, and lift the Gaza siege.
He urged the Arab and Muslim countries and the governments of the free world to support Turkey’s plan to bring the Israeli attack on the Flotilla and siege of Gaza before the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and International Court of Justice (ICJ).
“The whole world should move to expose Israel’s illegal actions, and not to be swayed by the US and Israel, which always try to justify the Israeli aggression”
