FJP Joins Friday’s Protests in Tahrir Sqaure

The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) has announced it will join protesters in Cairo’s Tahrir Square on Friday July 8th Day of Perseverance.
According to FJP’s secretary general Dr. Saad Katatny, the party has decided to protest the slow-paced trials and join the push for faster changes, including trials of former regime officials. He added the injustices suffered by families of martyrs’ and the release on bail of officers charged with killing protesters was unacceptable.
He called on all political forces to set aside ideologies and unite for Egypt’s progress and prosperity, which he said would see the light once a speedy trial for Mubarak and his aides was underway and the removal of any and all former remnants of the former regime.
