FJP Praises Turkey’s Decision to Expel Israeli Ambassador
Dr. Saad Katatny, Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Secretary General, praised Turkey’s decision, which included expelling the Israeli ambassador to Ankara and suspending military contracts, as a result of Israel’s failing to apologize for the aggression against the Marmara and Freedom Fleet which was heading to Gaza to break the Israeli siege on the Gazans.
According to Katatny “The Turkish stance expresses that Turkey is a country that respects its people, dignity and interests. It indicates that such acts of aggression by the Israelis will not be tolerated. A fine and deserving example has been illustrated to the Arab and Muslim world. Israel only understands the language of action not words.”
He welcomed comments by Turkey, that it will not hesitate to deploy war ships in the Mediterranean if Greek Cypriots enter Turkish terrestrial waters during their oil exploration efforts in the Mediterranean. He added, that Turkey’s stance to accompany aid ships heading to Gaza was a positive move. Katatny called on the Egyptian government to follow the example and act as Turkey did in response to Israel’s killing of its policemen, on its border.
“The Arab and Muslims’ blood is not cheap”, he stressed “the Arab nations have abandoned apathy, and Israel must know and understand that the Muslim world will no longer accept aggressions against any of its nations; we are entering a new era.”
