FJP Press Release No. (41), Round Three Results

The final results are out for the first round of the third and last phase of the Egyptian People’s Assembly elections. Three Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) candidates were declared outright winners, in the second district of Qaliubiya governorate and the first district of Dakahlia.

Meanwhile, FJP candidate lists won 37.5% of total votes of constituencies where the List elections were held and announced up to this moment. Those are 14 out of 15 lists total. Results for the first list in Gharbiya province are yet to be announced.

The FJP won 2,660,890 votes out of a total of 7,422,137 total valid votes. The party is still to partake in runoffs with 29 candidates. On the other hand, Al-Sawi Abdul Qader Zayed, the FJP candidate for the workers seat in Al-Wadi Al-Jadid, unfortunately lost the race for that seat. The results of three candidates are yet to be announced in Gharbiya province (two candidates) and Qena province (one candidate), out of the party’s total 36 candidates for this phase.
