FJP Slams Israel’s Killing of Egyptian Soldiers, Calls on SCAF to Take Action

Condemning the Israeli attack on Egypt’s borders Thursday, Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Secretary General Dr. Saad Katatny called on the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) to take a firm stance against the Israeli aggression which killed two Egyptian soldiers, and injured three.

In a press statement Friday, Katatny stressed that Egypt is no longer the same following the January 25 Revolution which succeeded in toppling the authoritarian regime of Hosni Mubarak and retaining national dignity. The Israelis, he said, must be aware that the Egyptian people have abandoned their fear against any oppression and will neither tolerate attacks nor let such assaults pass. “Egyptians’ blood is not cheap”, he added.

Katatny urged the military to respond to the crime and to demonstrate to the Israelis that their heinous acts are unacceptable and that the blood of the Egyptians after today will not be violated and will be accounted for.

He called on the Egyptian people to stand united and support the armed forces in restoring the dignity and rights of all Egyptians.
