FJP Urges International Intervenion to End Civilian Massacres in Syria

Freedom and Justice party called on the international community to support the Syrian people and immediately strip the Syrian regime of Bashar Al-Assad off legitemacy after its continuous terror and massacres against Syrian civilians.  The party said in a statement Wednesday that it strongly condemns the use of violence by the ruling regime against the demonstrators, and believes in the Syrian people’s rights to achieve their legitimate demands, calling on the ruling regime to stop killing the people immediately and allow the people the right to peacefully express themselves.

The party also stressed that the Arab Spring has become a historic path that can’t be hijacked and that the Syrian people will achieve their freedom, and will be able to live the life they choose for themselves.

The party also viewed the current Syrian regime as illegitimate with its violence and brutality in dealing with peaceful protests.

"It’s the duty of the Arab people and their governments to support the Syrian people. The Arab League and Islamic Conference, and all regional institutions, must intervene immediately to prevent the massacres committed against the Syrian people, and end any moral or material support to the Syrian regime," the statement added.
