Freedom and Justice Party Demands Immediate Halt of Genocide Against Burmese Muslims
The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) is utterly shocked and dismayed at the bloody massacres and violent ethnic-cleansing taking place against Rohingya Muslims at the hands of Myanmar Government forces.
The FJP warns that these massacres violate all international conventions on human rights, protection of minorities and citizenship rights.
The FJP strongly urges the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take concrete international and relief actions in support of the Muslims of Burma, cooperating and coordinating with all partners to stop these intolerable, inhuman massacres.
The FJP further calls upon the United Nations and the international community to intervene rapidly and urgently to stop these devastating massacres and to exert pressure on the Myanmar government in all ways possible to stop the violence against Muslims.
The FJP also calls upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to include this urgent issue on its agenda at the next summit to be held on August 14 and 15 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
