Freedom and Justice Party Seeks National Accord for Faster State Institutions Rebuilding
Headed by its new Chairman Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP)’s Executive Bureau convened Saturday, and discussed developments in the domestic and foreign arenas, and also discussed the party’s organizational matters.
The FJP seeks to take concrete steps to reunite national players and patriotic stakeholders and to launch a serious dialogue to agree on a shared vision for the rebuilding of the homeland’s various institutions.
Moreover, the FJP appreciates efforts aiming for national consensus over the draft constitution, those made by the institution of the presidency and those taking place within the Constituent Assembly tasked with writing Egypt’s new national charter.
The FJP emphasizes that it seeks, with all its resources, dedication and flexibility, to aid and achieve success for national consensus before the release of the final draft of the constitution. Meanwhile, it calls on all national forces and the Egyptian people not to give anyone an opportunity to disrupt or halt the process of completing the final draft in a way that befits post-revolution Egypt, in the timeframe specified for the work of the Assembly.
Furthermore, the FJP regrets the announcement by the Minister of Local Development of the decision to close shops by 10PM every evening before reaching a national consensus on the issue. The party stresses the need to conduct thorough studies and a real community dialogue to reach the correct decision before announcing such decree.
