Freedom And Justice Party Will Not Attend Constitution Principles Meeting
Dr. Mohamed Saad Katatni, Secretary General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), stressed that the party will not attend the meeting Dr. Ali Al-Selmi, Deputy Prime Minister, called for and which is to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, to discuss the criteria for the formation of the Constituent Assembly that will draft the Constitution, and will not discuss this issue in any way, because it is a blatant infringement on the free will of the Egyptian people.
Dr. Katatni confirmed that he spoke to the deputy prime minister, on Sunday, and told him that raising this matter, at this time when the Egyptian people are preparing for the parliamentary elections, will lead to division, argument and strife, contrary to the interests of the country, and emphasised that this issue had been completely concluded after the issuance of the Al-Azhar Document and the Democratic Alliance’s Code of Honour.
