Frustration over pending of court’s ruling for 13 Muslim Brotherhood leaders

  Muslim Brotherhood lawyer, Abdul Monem Abdul Maqsoud yesterday sent a warning by  bailiff contesting the Minister of Interior, Attorney-General and Director of the Prison Sector to quickly implement the verdict of the Administrative Judicial Court of the release of thirteen of the Muslim Brotherhood’s high ranking leaders sentenced by martial court after they had served three quarters of their sentence.

He asserted, that  he had notified the Minister of Justice, Attorney-General, Minister of Interior and Director of the prison sector about the verdict of the release of thirteen of the Brotherhood’s high ranking. Dr. Mohamed Ali Beshr, Member of the MB Executive Bureau is at the top of this list.

An eight day grace  has been granted to the Minister of Justice, Attorney-General, Minister of Interior to quickly implement the verdict in which the penalty provided by the law in case of abstaining from court rule is the imprisonment or dismissal of any government official or public servant who abuses their official position, hinders the implementation of the court rulings or refrains from the implementing of the judicial decisions, he asserted.

Abdul Maqsoud stated if the period  expires and the provisions have not been implemented, he will file a lawsuit requesting  the jailing or dismissal of the Minister of Justice, Attorney-General, Minister of Interior particularly any delay in even if it was contested before the Supreme Administrative Court. This appeal does not suspend the implementation of the provisions as long as the government had not submit any appeal until noon Wednesday.

On another note, the Supreme State Security Prosecution challenged Osama al-Suleiman, who is currently detained under investigations in the case of the alleged international network of the Muslim Brotherhood by the funds where the State Security Investigation have confiscated from one of his privately-owned foreign exchange company branches.

The money confiscated from the foriegn exchange company include different currencies mainly Egyptian pounds, U.S. dollars,  euros,  sterling, SAR, along with a  number of Arab and international currencies and banking and traveller checks.

Suleiman emphasized that the prosecution did not know the amount of funds in  his  Exchange Company especially as he owns four branches. He requested that the manager of  El Sherefeen branch attend and answer the prosecution”s questions about the money as he is more aware of the work and activities  of the branch than himself.

The move comes one week after the Criminal Court’s decision upheld the ruling of the Attorney-General to seize Suleiman”s funds  and prevented his wife Mrs. Hala Al-Jazzar from disposing of her assets and property both real estate and  liquid. All branches of the foreign exchange company owned by his brother-in-law were sealed off in the context of  crackdowns by the government against any institutions or companies if the regime suspects it has connections or is linked  to the Brotherhood.

 
The Supreme State Security Prosecution also ruled that Ashraf Abdel Ghaffar remain in custody for a further fifteen days under investigations in the case of the alleged international network of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Moreover, three experts from the Ministry of Justice sworn in before the prosecution as a prelude to kick off their own examination of all papers, reports and documents submitted in the case of the alleged international network to the judiciary validating whether the detainees of the Muslim Brotherhood were engaged in money laundering or not.

Furthermore, Damanhour prosecution decided yesterday that seventeen high ranking brothers  remain in custody for a further fifteen days under investigations.

Detainees include;Ahmed Eid, Sayed al Bakatoshi, Mohamed Al-dahbi, Ali Al-Sheikha, Ahmed Wahba, Ahmed Hassanein, Majdi Oweda, Mohamed al-Arian, Emad Abdel-Hafez, Abdel-Hakim Abdel Alraouf, Ahmed Al-samad, Said Mabrouk, Abul Fotouh Abu al-Yazid, Mohamed Abdul Rashid, Khaled Al-Melegy, Mohammad Hassan Abu Al-Hassan, and Mohamed Al-sachawi.

The prosecution yesterday ordered  that Mohamed Al Esawi Al-Dahabi, Emad Fathi Abdel-Hafez, Mohamed Abdel-Hakim, Abdul Rashid, Ahmad Ali WaHba, Mohamed Hassan Abu Hassan and Abul Fotouh Muhammad Abu al-Yazid be transferred to Wadi Al-Natrun prison hospital taking all the necessary measures for their treatment and medical check-ups.

The defence team demanded that the defendants be presented  Sadat”s hospital because of the the lack of suitable therapeutic measures at the prison hospital.

The Damanhour Criminal Court earlier decided to accept the appeal submitted by nine of the Brotherhood members who was detained in the Case No. 4916 for 2009 and ordered their release. They have already arrived in fact at the headquarters of Damanhour State Security three days ago however, no decision has been taken on their case so far. The released persons are; Osama Suleiman, Hani al-Baktoshi, Mahmoud Abdul Natheer, Mohammed Abdul Mawgoud, Majdi Owedah, Mohamed Salman Ashraf Al-kateb, Mohamed Zidan and Faris Barakat.

A follow up  to the leaders and heads of the Muslim Brotherhood administrative offices in the Upper Egypt governorates including Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, reveal that the prosecution is expected Thursday to rule they remain in custody for a further fifteen days under investigations
