Gamal Mubarak: NDP’s Annual Conference Will not Choose Presidential Nominee

Assistant Secretary General and the Chairman of the Policies Committee at the National Democratic Party, Gamal Mubarak, said that the National Democratic Party’s nominee for the September 2011 presidential election will not be selected during its current annual conference.

Instead, the announcement of the ruling party’s nominee will be made at a special conference, to be preceded by meetings dealing with that particular issue, Gamal Mubarak said in a press conference on Monday at the end of the 7th Annual Conference of the ruling Party.

"The NDP and its parliamentary bloc, in the issues have been raised in its annual conference, will study the future political and legislative agenda stated by the President in his speech," said Egypt ‘s 82-year-old president.
