George Ishak Asks About MB Leaders View to Rule Inheritance Issue
George Ishak, the assistant coordinator of Kifaya Movement, denounced that the Muslim Brotherhood group doesn”t have any sufficient presence in the political arena.
It is worth noting that the National Democratic Party (NDP) annual conference that will be held within the coming few days has stirred many question marks and predictions around its results. A number of representatives of other parties and political movements like Kifaya Movement have made public their views and statements regarding this conference, in addition to statements of the NDP members themselves.
The issue of the hereditary transfer of rule still top the focus of the intellectuals and representatives of the Egyptian parties while discussing the NDP party conference.
Ishak said:” It is a pleasure to talk to the Muslim Brotherhood”s (MB) official web site. However, I do not see any presence for MB leaders these days and do not hear their views regarding current issues, especially the issue of the hereditary transfer of rule which should never be sidelined”.
“I want to know their crystal clear view towards the issue of the hereditary transfer of rule, because it is useless to make any compromise for the time being regarding such issues”.
He said that speaking with any MB body- even if it is a media body- may relatively strengthen the MB role and its currently hidden viewpoints. He lamented that the Muslim Brotherhood is undergoing a very bad condition.
George Ishak quoted the Muslim Brotherhood leader, Gamal Heshmat, who said that any separate action from any of political powers will not have any strong effect, and that this requires all other political powers to close ranks. And that the Muslim Brotherhood will not have a single effective role in such cases as the issue of the hereditary transfer of rule.
“Dr. Gamal Heshmat and Dr. Abdel Moneim Abul Fotouh are one of the most important MB figures whom I strongly respect and appreciate. I actually appreciate Dr. Gamal Heshmat and see that he is the most bold MB leader as much as his views and statements are concerned” said the Kifaya leader.
“However, I disagree with him this time. This is because we can”t wait for all political powers to close ranks to have one single say. These powers are known and their views are also known. So, I demand Dr. Gamal Heshmat and MB leaders in general to declare their say clearly regarding the issue of the hereditary transfer of rule” said Ishaq.
“All opposition powers are undoubtedly against the issue of the hereditary transfer of rule and they will oppose it if it emerges”, he said.
