Ghozlan: MB Victories in Union Elections Sign of Public Trust
Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan, media spokesman of the Muslim Brotherhood, confirmed that the latest victories of MB candidates in union elections, whether teachers, doctors or pharmacists – and all are important professions with valuable intellectual contributions in the community – have evidently shown that the public puts its trust in the Muslim Brotherhood and all its coalition candidate lists.
Ghozlan In a statement to IkhwanWeb, Dr. Ghozlan said: “The results of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate elections – in which Brotherhood doctors and those allied with them claimed a large percentage of the seats – is nothing short of a clear expression of the confidence of the masses of doctors in the representatives of the Brotherhood.“We see this as a positive sign of our popularity in Egypt. But we believe that it also places a great responsibility on our shoulders. And we do ask God to guide us to bear it wisely," he added.
Dr. Ghozlan pointed out that the participation of non-Brotherhood candidates in Brotherhood electoral lists is evidence of the Muslim Brotherhood’s determination to work for general consensus, harmony and joint action, and take responsibility in improving the medical profession and upgrading and serving the masses of doctors and working to raise their incomes.
Ghozlan also called upon the West to reconsider its views about the main political forces in Egypt, including the Muslim Brotherhood, stressing that “there is no truth at all to the scarecrow image created by the former regime in its vicious propaganda against the group”, especially since the public most often votes for them in most elections.
