Ghozlan Denies Allegations by Hamza that Brotherhood Wants to Eliminate Civil State Article

Media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood, (MB), Dr. Mahmoud Ghozlan criticized rumours by Mamdouh Hamza; General Secretary of the "National Council" alleging the MB rejected articles in the constitution concerning a civil state.
Speaking to Ikhwanweb, Ghozlan denied that the MB had even discussed the issue during any meetings with the cabinet.
“The Salafis were behind the initiative and not the MB” he confirmed.
Hamza had posted on his Facebook page that the MB had called for the million man march, ‘Friday of One Demand’ following refusals by SCAF to eliminate the civil state article.
Hamza pointed out, “During the meeting the Islamist forces had proposed amendments to three bands. The first band concerned the civil state, the second called for the document to be a guide and not an obligation, while the third fully rejected restrictions on the committee formed to draft the constitution by the newly elected parliament”.
