Gov’t committee: APU delegation to visit Gaza.

The APU announced the decision to visit the Gaza strip at the conclusion of its fourth session and assigned the APU president to follow the issue with the Egyptian parliament to prepare for the visit.
“This decision reflects the Arab solidarity with the Palestinian people,” the statement said, adding that “furthermore it displays the Arab parliamentarians’ support for the just struggle of the Palestinians in face of the Israeli schemes that aim at subjugating the people especially in the Gaza Strip”.
The committee had earlier asked the Arab parliaments to organize solidarity visits to Gaza similar to their European counterparts, stressing that such visits shed light on the suffering of one and a half million Palestinians besieged in the Strip for over three years.
