Habib: Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt Has No Organisational Links With Hamas

Dr. Mohamed Habib, first deputy to the chairman of the MB, refuted the charges reported by al-Ahram newspaper on Saturday April 26 accusing a member in the Brotherhood of military links to Hamas.

“The charges are fake and fabricated,” he said. He added that they are  part of an instigative campaign against the MB to denigrate their image and  curb their political participation.

“MB and Hamas consider Egyptian national security a red line, and the MB are the most concerned with their national security” Habib added.

Habib denied any organisational links to Hamas and said the MB doesn’t interfere in Palestinian affairs. Hamas has its own challenges to deal with, he said.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu-Zuhri, in a statement to Ikhwanweb, explained that Hamas has no relation with Faramawi, who is accused of managing a terrorist cell, and that the report was an attempt by certain parties to link Hamas with the Egyptian brotherhood and then involve Hamas in internal Egyptian differences.

Also, he stated that Hamas has no organizational relationship with the MB and asked the Egyptian government to stop incitement against the Palestinian people who suffer from deadly siege.
