Hamas: Depriving Gaza of fuel needs crime against humanity

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said Wednesday that the Palestinian authority’s agreement with the European union to stop supplying the Gaza Strip with its fuel needs to operate the power plant is a crime against humanity that will claim the lives of many civilians especially patients and premature babies.

In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC), spokesman Barhoum added that this crisis, if escalates, will paralyze the daily life in Gaza and lead to serious environmental, humanitarian and health disasters.

The spokesman stressed that the European union is obliged legally and morally to supply Gaza power plan with its fuel needs.

He noted it was not the first time the PA participated in the blockade on Gaza, saying that Mahmoud Abbas had already expressed his support for the building of the iron wall and the Israeli war on the Strip.
