Heshmat: FJP Calls for Dialogue, National Harmony for Real Democratic Transformation
In a statement to Ikhwanweb, Dr. Gamal Heshmat, member of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) National Committee and appointed member of the Shura Council (upper house of Egyptian parliament), said: "Egypt now needs more national dialogue and accord initiatives, so that, after the announcement of the constitutional referendum results, this homeland will be able to take concrete steps on the path of genuine democratization.
"We want to go beyond the outcome of the constitutional vote, which has clearly won popular support, and strive to build the institutions of this country with positive participation of every citizen. There’s no doubt that no one faction in Egypt can bear the responsibility alone, excluding the efforts of others. We invite everyone to join us in serving all Egyptians. We are fully resolved to do all that is needed for the homeland and the people."
