Human rights violations continue against political detainees
The Administration of Abadeya prison in Damanhour governorate continues to violate basic rights of Muslim Brotherhood’s political detainees, despite appeals and complaints by rights groups
The prison’s administration continues to deny more than 78 of the Muslim Brotherhood’s political dedtainees their basic rights, including restrictions on family visitations and limitions on their break-time outside jail cells.
Among the political detainees at the prison are: Sayed Abdel Hamid, member of the administrative office in Ismailiya and one of MB leaders in the Sharqiya governorate, Dr. Mohamed Taha Wahdan, head of the administrative Office in Ismailiya, and Dr. Amir Bassam, one of the prominent MB leaders in Sharqiya governorate.
