Interior Ministry abducts MB candidates family members
Security forces in Egypt abducted Ossama Ahmed Suleiman, son of Muslim Brotherhood candidate, Ahmed Suleiman, from the Beheira constituency along with his friend, Mustafa Abdul Sabour, highlighting the latest crackdown on the group. The medical students were snatched from the streets in broad daylight.
Since the group’s chairman, Dr. Mohamed Badie, announced that the MB would participate in elections on October 9, over 290 MB members have been arbitrarily detained.
In a related incident security officials abducted another MB member from Disuq in the Kafr el Sheik constituency. He was later transferred to the city’s police station where he is to face prosecution.
